Based in Baltimore, American Cast Iron Company was conceived specifically to create cast-iron commemoratives for the “Iron Man.” The project caught people’s imagination and developed into an ongoing company creating custom commemoratives in a traditional style.

It seemed to us that the tributes and curiosities that we've come across in museums or antique stores celebrating Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, or any other old-time great told as much about their times as their legends. Our idea was to create tributes in a manner that would be appropriate for heroes of any era. We knew our products would frame important moments and memories, that they’d be touchstones for stories retold. We wanted to develop mementos that would both capture the moment and be cherished for generations.

Our launch coincided with the momentum surrounding Cal Ripken’s election to the Hall of Fame, and we're excited to be a part of it. We are currently developing products that honor other sports legends, as well as those who serve as heroes in our daily lives and communities.
